Hi,

I found a small issue you all may want to know about. When you select Order PDF files from the little popup menus, you get a blank page. When viewing a pdf with a do_postback with a button in the admin area it works.

But, when you have a direct url it will not work if you have a child portal. For example:

/DesktopModules/CartViper/GenerateOrderPdf.ashx?orderId=1002 generates no data and shows an error in the error logs.

But doing a small edit to DisplayOrders.ascx fixes it.

window.location.replace("<%= GeneratePdfUrl %>" + orderId + "&portalid=1");

Notice how I hard coded the portal. The URL then works when it is outputted like this:

/DesktopModules/CartViper/GenerateOrderPdf.ashx?orderId=1002&portalid=1

We are using a child portal for the site... and it is not a full domain, but a domain url like http://www.mysite.com/my_2nd_portal

You may need to get the portal ID somewhere and add it to the URL.

We are still on our test server, so this is nothing urgent and there is a workaround. But I thought you all would want to know!

Out of interest what version of CV are you running?

Looking at the code we pass in an encrypted cookie which contains the portal ID so it should work fine as it is in the latest version of CV.
I normally develop using a child portal for that reason, if you running into issues its normally on a child portal.

It is 3.8.1. I just downloaded it.

Could it be from an invalid https certificate? I added a browser exception because the testing subdomain is not listed in the certificate. Just the www is valid in the cert.

CV_Store_Portal_Cart_1 is there in cookies with the encrypted cart data.

Hi Steve

It could be the SSL issue.

Adding the parameter portalID=X to the query string shouldn't have any effect since we are only loading the portalID from the encrypted cookie.
Are you still having the same issue now?
