OK, new user here. I finally got the admin screens filled-out, all my products loaded, trying to test checking out with 4-step. I enter the name, address on first screen, and after I enter the State (Tennessee) and tab to the zip, it says "Connecting..." on the Firefox page tab above, down on the left it says "Waiting for [myurl.com] ..." and then it kicks me out to the My Account page with a box "Please restart the checkout process. An error has occurred...".

Is it doing some kind of State lookup that is failing?

Thanks!

Alex

Hi,

When the state drop down list changes it causes a postback which would be the "connecting" message you are seeing in the browser whilst we are waiting for the page to return. It seems we are losing our session state whilst waiting for the postback to complete and thus we are sending you to start the checkout process again. This can happen if the server has limited resources, can you try changing the checkout type to "singlepage" via the store admin -> payment to see if that works better for your site?

Thanks
Nigel.

Hello Nigel,

Thank you for replying to my post.

You are correct about the lost state. I tried the Single Page and I get the same thing when I click Place Order.

My provider is DNN4Less.com . All they do is DNN, so you figure they would configure the machines with enough resources. Is there something I should ask them?

Thanks!
Alex
