I assume that's a typo in your post and it actually is the below in the javascript function?

made it here");

So to confirm your alert gets called and our message in the top right of the page changes to "reindex complete !" , if your getting that far it looks like the re-index is completing successfully. As a check you could delete the folder \App_Data\CVLuceneIndex then try the reindex again and confirm if the folder gets re-created.

We would also recreate the index if you deleted the above folder and then add / edit a product, so if there was a javascript error on the page that was blocking the "reindex search index" it would avoid you having to manually reindex the catalog.

It was a typo - should have read Made It Here");

But I do get the alert message, and still no message from your end?

I think this is the only issue here?  No message.

Ok, so the index is actually getting built its the confirmation message that's missing. I have seen it before that the red alert message can be hidden behind the DNN admin / host menu, try scrolling the page down before clicking the "reindex button" and see if that is the case?

I guess you are seeing the message their on your development machines?

Again I am using 3.2d version.

Is it possible we have a css conflict?

I'm stumped - which skins do you use for testing?

I tried scrolling down - still nothing?

I see you are using a usercontrol(<cv:CvNotificationControl runat="server" ID="cvNotification" />) for the message - Maybe I don't have it - did not get copied somehow?  No reference either?

Yes it appears on our dev sites, we generally use the standard DNN skins. The user control does not have an ascx file, its made in CartViper.Modules.Store.dll , if it wasnt there the page would throw an exception.

As every site is different without looking at it I cant really suggest anything else, it's most likely CSS / jQuery related. If you have confirmed the index is getting built each time the button is pressed the fact the confirmation message cant be seen is not a huge issue as this button is not something you generally need to push anyway. As when a product is added / edited / deleted we index it automatically. You only ever need to press this button if you manually delete the index and want it rebuilt.

If your still concerned the only way I can assist further is if you send over an admin account, if you don't want to give a full administrator account use the "manage catalog" feature inside store admin -> store info -> general settings and give me an account so I can just access the store admin -> products admin section.

Regards
