Hello and thank you for your help in advance,

We have chosen to use Aricie Lucene Search for our web site.

It needs a provider to be able to search your store.  Are there any code snippets you could provide to help in this endeavor?  Maybe an example of what you are doing to search the stores content?

I take it the provider your going to write just needs to know how to access the products and then it will handle indexing and then performing a search?

If you reference our CartViper.Store.dll you can use the below code to get all the products in a store:

 ProductController productController = new ProductController();
var products = productController.GetPortalProducts(PortalId, false, false);

We use Lucene ourselves to provide searching within the store, we loop through those products and index the data we are interested in (name, summary, description, etc) so we can then search the data and give a higher priority to the product name etc. 

Using a 3rd party module to the search will be tricky as we update our search index when a product is changed / deleted so you will need to code this into your solution and ultimately calculate the correct url to the product details page when you get some search results.
