I have an item which is configured for viewing by only administrators.  Yet when I do a search, the item is showing up in the search results.

Search Crawler is configured to crawl the site as an anonymous user, so I'm uncertain as to why this is occurring.

Thanks..

Hi Jeff

Do you have a url we can look at? Also would it be possible to get an admin account to the site? Please email me the details to mark@cartviper.com

I think I see issue, we don't appear to be trimming the products based on the role when the ISearchable interface is called. Normally we recommend using the built in search in Cart Viper instead of the DNN search.

Regards

Mark

Hi Mark,

Sorry, our current cart environment is only an internal development server currently.

What brought this about was that on the main website, there's a search box.  I put in an example product name is the hidden item showed up.

I'd say we'll have more end-users using DNN search from the home page than going to the actual cart and then doing a search from there.

Thanks..

Hi Jeff

I've coded up a fix which you can download from the free trial page, 3.0.1k. This removes restricted products from the DNN search.

When you install the new package you will need to reindex the search by going to the Host > Search Admin page. As always I would suggest taking a full database and site backup before upgrading.

Regards

Mark
