If I login as an administrator I don't see this error.

What could be a cause of this exception?

Many thanks in advance.

Hi

What version of Cart Viper are you running? If you aren't running the latest version I would suggest upgrading.

Before upgrading take a full site and db backup and follow the instruction on page 6 of the user manual on how to upgrade.

Both the upgrade and user manual are available from this url
http://www.cartviper.com/free-trial

Mark

Hi

We think that issue is down to you deleting the anonymous user account in DNN we create to allow customers to checkout as a guest.

You need to undelete/enable this user account on the portal

ANONCARTVIPERUSERACCOUNT_X

Where X is the portal ID of the store's portal.

Mark

Hi!

Thanks for your quick response. I think it's indeed related to that UserAccount. Clicking the 'Check out as Guest' option increases the "FailedPasswordAttemtCount" column in the [aspnet_Membership] table. So I think the passwords don't match anymore.

Is there a way to "reset" these settings? I mean like re-entering the credentials somewhere.

We are running the following versions:
DNN: 07.00.00
CartViper: 3.2.0

Thanks in advance!
