Hi,

My configuration is

Cart Viper :  V3.1.0 - DNN: 7.2.1 - HTML Editor: CKEditor.

When I edit a product on the "Description" I have the 3 Rich Text Editor for "Description", "Key Benefit's" and "Additional Features".

But on "Product Tabs" and "Product Accordion" tabs I have just the 2 links Custom Editor Options | Refresh Editor

When I go back to the default HTML Editor "DotNetNuke.RadEditorProvider" no issue.

Regards.

Antoine.

Just curious, do you happen to be using Firefox?  I've run into an issues where the HTML editor only shows up as a textbox when using Firefox.  Not entirely sure why this is occurring, but if I use a different browser, it's fine.

Thanks..

Hi Jeff,

In your FireFox browser can you go to any html on the site and check "rich textbox editor" is selected, if not can you select it and then go back and see if the html editor is displaying correctly?

I have seen that before, DNN remembers the last state the editor was selected in and we don't allow you to change that from within CV so you get a normal textbox rather than the full editor.

Thanks
Nigel.

Hi

When I install the CKEditor I get the same behaviour as you seeing. The editor is not shown on the tab or accordion edit tabs for the product. However it is shown on the description page. Get the same issue in Chrome and Firefox so I don't see it being a browser issue.

The tab and accordion tabs are using an IFrame to load an aspx page which is used to edit the data. It would appear that the CKEditor team have some error with their provider which doesn't work correctly when using an aspx. Most DNN modules use a ascx control as the container for the html editor.

I can see all the JS files loading for the CKEditor, I have no exceptions or log statements to explain why it won't load the editor. The "custom editor options" link does in fact work and load the settings for the CKEditor so it looks like its loading something.
The issue is with the editor, we just load the provider using the standard DNN control.

I would suggest creating a ticket for the issue over at the codeplex project page https://dnnckeditor.codeplex.com/work...

Regards

Mark
