Hi Antoine, Mark

I have an extension on Antoines second question,

I have successfully implemented the Item Added to Cart pop up effect following Marks instructions, however I cannot figure out how to check this function against stock levels. For example product A has 10 pieces in stock, the customer should not be able to add 11 to their cart.

I have had a look at how the default modal Added to Cart function works to prevent this occurrence but I cannot work out how to apply it to the new pop up. 

Any assistance or a nod in the right direction would be appreciated.

Solved my own problem,

In store settings Products Behaviour was set to "Accept order if out of stock". Changing this to "Hide quantity links and buttons" has resolved the issue. Now, a user may not order above the current stock level.

I've encountered another issue with the new added to cart popup.

Everything works fine when the user is not logged in, or when logged in as an Administrator. However, the following occurs when logged in as a regular user and attempting to add an item to the cart:

1. Instead of the pop up reading "The item was added successfully to your cart" it shows "Unable to complete request, unknown action requested"

2. The user is logged out without warning.

As stated this only happens when logged in as a regular user, and I'm stumped on what action to take to fix this. I'm using all code as it appears in Marks post minus the Google Analytics code. Do you have any ideas for me?

Hi,

The issue was the AddToCartAjax javascript function that calls our httphandler was missing the portal alias from the handler url causing the issues you mention for non admin / host users.

The url needs to be:

/DesktopModules/CartViper/CvAjaxHandler.ashx?alias=www.yourportalias.com

So using the example Mark provided for our demo site it should look like:

type: "POST",
async: true,
url: "/DesktopModules/CartViper/CvAjaxHandler.ashx?alias=www.cartviper.com/demo",
dataType: "json",
data: (data),
success: function (data) {

So if you change the alias in bold to your portal alias it should start working for logged in users.
