We have configured our cartviper module to use the firstdata payment gateway. We have moved the PEM file to the APP_DATA and all the configuration is setup properly.

The portal has a SSL Certificate installed.

At the time of processing the credit card, we are getting the following error message

The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel.

Need HELP ASAP

Hi

First Data is a complex payment gateway to setup.

As well as the PEM file in the app_data can you confirm....

1. You have installed the P12 file in the certificate store?

2. Have you downloaded and ran the windows commandline tool to give your app pool identity access to the certificate store?

3. If you are running without an SSL on the server make sure the Test Mode option is ticked in the payment settings in Cart Viper.

I've seen LOTS of people having issues with 401 not authorized responses from First Data in general not just Cart Viper. However you appear to be failing at a stage earlier.

Regards

Mark

the certificate is properly installed. and required permission for the app pool identity is set for the certificate store

even in TEST mode, we are getting the following error

Your payment has failed, your order has not been placed and you have not been charged.
The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel.

Does the server WSE 3.0 installed?

What is the app_pool identity you have set?
Is there anything in the event log in Admin > Event Log within DotNetnuke?
