Thanks Mark,

As mentioned in the email, I do not have a sandbox account, just the live account setup right now... However after installing the latest version of Cart Viper, I am now able to successfully able to purchase a product. Thank you very much for the quick fix on this...

However the redirect issue is not fixed. I am still being redirected to the homepage after registration through the cart viper module.

I have also found a new bug. Since some of our products are actually access to special features on our site through the use of roles. I have a box above the checkout page that is only visible if you have the permission to access said purchased role. It's there to let the customer know how to access the database they just purchased....To my surprise, this box pop's up before final checkout. Cart Viper is giving the role to a user on the page after you enter in your credit card, "Confirm Your Order Page", not on completed purchase page. This is a big problem considering people can circumvent actually paying for a product to get access to our role based database products.

Thanks,

John

Hi John

Good that we are working in paypal pro for you now.

Redirect
When I coded that fix and sent you the message I knew people with https:// might still have that issue since I didnt handle that in the code fix.
Anyway I've fixed that now. So the new release should close this issue.

Product Role
I don't see this box on the confirmation page, see attached (I've emailed you a response). Are you testing with an admin account or something which has higher permissions?
I just created an account and used that. I'm missing something?

Regards

Mark

Hi Mark,

Redirect
Redirect now works correctly. Thanks.

Product Role:
I can't duplicate what I did the first time. It's likely that because of the redirect issue I got confused about what account I was logged in as. I should have double checked and tried to reproduce it a second time before I reported a bug. Sorry about that.

Product Role Side Note: I really wish there was a better option built into the cart to handle digital products that don't have digital downloads or physical products. Almost like an ability to have a custom link for a product show up on the final order details page. Or to have custom links in digital downloads, so instead of a link to a pdf or zip file, it could redirect them to a page on ones site. For now I think my text/html module based on them getting the role permission is the only option I really have. Let me know if you have any thoughts on this.

Thanks,

John

Hi John

Great that we've got all those issues closed off.

I think adding a new feature in 1.5.0 of Cart Viper which allows a product to display a link to a page once its purchased would be a good feature. That way with roles and this new feature it would allow you to sell products which give specific access to a page of your site once the item is paid for.

I'll add this to the road map and we'll get this sorted for you.

Regards

Mark
