Hi,

We are getting a message about "you are using an unverified account...." after a customer registers and logs in. The verification email that is sent doesn't include a viable "verification" link as described in the message to an unverified user. Did I miss something? I hunted around for an option to tick, but didn't find anything. I didn't find anything in the manual either. (doesn't mean it's not there. Just that I didn't find it). I'm supposing that verifying the registration is a good idea. But, if it isn't really needed, maybe we could just shut that off? How? I guess this is maybe a DNN thing. Should I be asking over there?

It is more of DNN issue but you should be able to turn off the verify new user account feature by changing the below setting to "public" as per screen shot.

Hi,

I have User Registration settings set to Public. Yet a verification email is sent and after registration / login a message pops up that (paraphrase) " You are using an unverified account. click on the link in the email we sent you to complete verification" (like I say, this is paraphrased). The only live link in the email (sent to new user) is just to the website. I'm not sure if this is broken and can be fixed and how. Or how to effectively turn off the verification process and resulting non functional behavior. I'd just as soon that we had verification working, but it's not worth doing a lot of work right now. I've tried changing the setting to "none" --> update --> back to "Public" --> update and the bad behavior persists. I need to fix this one way or the other ASAP. Is there some other settings somewhere that might be related to this? I've also posted to the DNN Community forums. If I get resolution there, I'll post it here.

Mahalo
