I would like to be able to add some shipping rates to the Default provider, based on the following parameters:
  • Product price is £0.01 to £23.00
    • UK shipping cost
    • Europe shipping cost
    • World zone 1 shipping cost
    • World zone 2 shipping cost
  • Product price is £23.01 to £46.00
    • UK shipping cost
    • Europe shipping cost
    • World zone 1 shipping cost
    • World zone 2 shipping cost

The European, World Zone 1 and World Zone 2 countries would correspond to those set out by Royal Mail.

Could you explain whether this is achievable please, and how I would go about setting this up in the quickest way possible?

Downloads would attract no shipping charge.

Many thanks for your help.

Hi Mark,

We currently do not support the exact scenario you mention, the closest we could get is by selecting the "default" shipping provider and then selecting "cart subtotal" option for "calculate shipping by" setting. That would allow you to create different price bands for each country based on the subtotal of the cart. Digital downloads would automatically not attract a shipping charge.

Obviously the drawback is its the cart subtotal price that is used rather than the individual product price and you would need to enter different bands for each country, it would not automatically know which countries are in World zone 1 etc.

We do have the ability to create custom shipping providers, so if you would like a quote to implement a new provider that exactly matched your outline please email me to discuss further: nigel@cartviper.com

Regards
Nigel.
