I have setup a product and under Product DNN Roles I selected two roles that this user should be added too once they purchase the product. However, I go through the checkout process that user is not added to those roles. I have tried it both with and without the Role Expiry days and neither seem to work. Any suggestions?

Hi Heather,

I just tried this scenario on my test site and it worked as expected and my user was given the DNN roles, can I suggest if you are not running the latest version of Cart Viper you download and install:

http://www.cartviper.com/free-trial

If that does not resolve the issue can you email me an admin username / password along with the URL of the product you have assigned the DNN roles too and are attempting to purchase? nigel@cartviper.com

Just something to check, can you ensure you are placing your order whilst logged in as a normal user rather than a host / administrator account?

Nigel,

Thank you for getting back to me. I am testing as a regular user. The flow is a custom form that creates the user in DNN as a Registered User and Subscriber. The user is then sent to a page with the product widget that only displays the membership product. They click Add to Cart and are sent to the cart, we are using a coupon to make the purchase $0. The Check Out process is completed and the user receives the order complete email however they are not added to the roles setup on the product.

Here's the funny thing though, we have a membership renewal product that is working correctly. They add the product to the cart and check out the same way and the dates on the membership role is incremented one year. I even copied this product and tried it but it isn't working.

So it seems that if the user is already a member of the role than it increments the date fine however it doesn't want to actually add them to the role. We are running the latest version of the cart.
