In regards to the mini cart storing products from a previous uncompleted session (meaning they did not check out), is there another way via code we can clear these cookies. The reason I am asking is if a client is visiting the site, adding product to cart, then leaving and coming back the next day, during which time we made  a small code adjustment to the CV system, they cannot checkout.

I know that the solution is to clear your cookies in your browser (IE specifically) but some people may not know this.

Is there a way to add a clear cart in the Mini Cart? This would be my solution, but not sure if that is possible.

I am looking for a temporary solution only, once we are done fiddling with the CV system we would remove it.

Sorry if this seems a bit confusing.

Hi John

The best you can do is set the cookie to last for just 24hours. The default will have the cookie last 30 days.
Just change the setting Cart Cookie Expiry Days settings in the Store Admin > Store Info > General Settings to 1. (see image below).

Regards

Mark
