How can I make item stock quantity decrease with each purchase?

For both offline and online payments, the stock is not being decreased as items are purchased. The store sales report shows the correct number of sales, but each item still has its original stock quantity after an order is made.

This seemed to work correctly in the past during testing, but it is no longer working and I cannot figure out what happened.

Hi,

Stock management is not something you need to enable it should happen automatically. Can you let me know what online payment gateway you are using and are you managing stock levels at a product variant level or just the standard product level?
We only decrease the stock levels when the order has a status of "paid" do all your orders have this status?
