I am in the middle of launching my store and during test purchases I checked to see the export csv file so I could see what data was output for me to use on the back end for my reports done in excel.

I am selling large batches of t-shirts for fund raising in short periods of time and shipping later once product arrives and I want to organize my order data in excel so I can create batch labels and such with which shirt was purchased and size information. I have to streamline this process for sorting and packaging of all orders  in one day after the shirts of different types and sizes are printed and delivered weeks later.

Once the file downloaded and I opened it I scanned back and forth thru the columns over and over and could not find any data on the actual product purchased. The customer info is displayed very well but the only reference to the order is the orderID #.and no product purchased information whatsoever.

I have set up my multiple items with the variants for size and everything prints out fine on the pdf portion of the order but I do not want transfer data from that PDF to my sales file in excel manually.

I will have hundreds of orders in a very short time and I want to get this configured correctly so I can utilize the data the way I have already planned.

I hope there is a way to change the configuration of the data export of purchases to csv simply because that was one major feature that convinced me to purchase CartViper.

I have gone thru the manual over and over and cannot find any particular information on customizing this export report to CSV.

Please help.

Hi,

At the moment no, it only lists the high level order details. We do already have this feature on our road map for release 3.2 http://www.cartviper.com/features/road-map.

However if this feature is urgent you could look to sponsor it to get a confirmed release date. If you would like a quote please email me to discuss this further. nigel@cartviper.com

Thanks
Nigel.

You mention high level order details being the only thing listed in the csv at this time. How could what was actually ordered not be a high level order detail? The current csv file is a detailed report of the customer and all of their personal data that they enter while going thru the shopping cart and that is it, only one mention of the order # and nothing else.

I have another project in a couple of months that I have to have very detailed order information that I can utilize in excel. When do you plan on fixing this? When is 3.2 coming out?

On your feature page of your website you list the following, Export orders to .CSV file format, Export sales data to .XLS file format, yet I can do neither one that has the customer and what they purchased. It is a bummer for me to discover this after so much time has been invested into this store.

I do not understand the sponsor a feature solution, how much would it cost to sponsor a solution to my problem?

Hi,

The feature is on our road map so it will get added, we don't have a firm date for the next release. We aim to have a development cycle of 2-3 months between each release.

Sponsoring the feature means it takes priority over other tickets and mean we would implement it straight away for you and give you a pre-release of version 3.2 with the feature added. You could look to sponsor this feature for £175.00.

Thanks
Nigel.

At first I was going to respond to you and ask about how soon this could be done thinking that I could probably consider spending $175 to make this all finally work and not have to start over again with another store. Then I looked up the pounds to dollar conversion and it would cost me close to what I paid for this store just to get a feature fixed that it was listed as having in the first place.

When the store features said export orders to CSV I assumed it would have more than just the order # and customer data. I am seriously looking at another store now. I have lhree weeks before I launch and I am afraid of not getting your update on time if I do not pay for it.
