Hello,

We have a  client who is running Cart Viper 1.6.0 on a DNN 6.1.5 site. Our client is looking to upgrade DNN to the latest version (7.2.2 as of right now). Is it required or reccommeded to upgrade Cart Viper as well?

Thanks!

Hi,

In this instance yes, we had to make a few changes so we are compatible with that version of DNN that are only available in the latest version of Cart Viper.

Thanks
Nigel.

I need to do a very similar upgrade from Cart Viper 1.6.0.  I'm running DNN 5.6.3 and need to go to 7.2.2 (or 7.3.1).

Apart from following the Documentation are there any pitfalls or pointers you might share?  Can I upgrade straight to the most current version, or do I need to upgrade incrementally?

Hi,

Yes you can go straight to the latest version, the key thing is to backup your templates prior to upgrading and then merging the template files once the upgrade has completed so you get the new css classes we will have added.

Thanks
Nigel.
