Hi,

I'm just wondering how you can set up item specific shipping as listed under features in the DNN Store?

We have 3 types of shipping depending on what item is being purchased. Shipping is added per item, weight is not taken into consideration.

I am using the trail version of the module. I'd apprecaite it if you can tell me how to set this up. If it works as we want it then we will purchase the module.

Many thanks,
Angel

Hi Angel,

The below assumes that shipping for all items in your store will be set at a per-product basis:

1) Go to store admin -> shipping and enabled the "default" shipping provider.

2) In the free shipping section at the top enter all countries that you would like to ship to (Any countries not listed here will not be supported if the customer selects them)

3) On the product edit page there is a field "shipping surcharge", here you can enter the amount that should be charged to ship this product. You can also optionally add an amount in the "handling charge" field to add an extra charge for this product.

Thanks
Nigel.

Hi Nigel,

Thanks for the fast reply! That works, but I just realized we have different shipping cost per country as well. Here is an example of our product and shipping costs.

UK  EU Non-EU USA/CA ROW
Item 1
8.00 24.00 30.00 40.00 72.00

Item 2
8.00 22.00 27.00 33.00 55.00

Item 3
11.00 28.00 34.00 53.00 92.00
Is there a way to set shipping like this on your system?

Thanks,
Angel

We dont support that exact shipping configuration, however what you could do is:

1) Remove the countries in the free shipping countries.

2) Create a shipping band for each country you want to ship to and make the "min weight = 0" and "max weight 99999" so it will catch all the orders for this country. Then you would select "add cost as % of subtotal". That way we would use the shipping charge you enter at the product level to work the initial shipping cost and it would then increase this charge for the different countries.

Thanks
Nigel.
