Hi I have CartViper module 2.0 installed and running a functional store on our site. My question is there is no Inventory Control extension to this version - is there ? From your blogs, I gather ver 1.2 onwards has inventory control feature. How do I go about having that feature functional on my live site? I do not see any inventory option in the Store Admin page. I would like to do inventory control of the product listed on my site.
thanks,
Prachi Sehgal

Hi,

Yes we support stock inventory management, keeping track of your stock can be achieved in 2 methods:

1) Stock can be managed at a product level, at the bottom of the product edit section there is a stock management section:

2) If your product contains variants the stock can be managed at the product variant level, by selecting "product variant inventory management" the below screen will appear:

When a product is purchased the stock level will be decreased, via the store admin -> store info you can define how the store should handle out of stock product i.e. accept the order or hide the product from the catalog so it cannot be purchased.

Thanks
Nigel.

Thanks Nigel,

I found the Stock Management under Product Edit. I found that there is quantity and purchase price entered for each product in our live site, and not the other fields. ( low threshold, back order date). My questions are:

1. How do I generate the stock report? All I find is the Sales Report in the Store Admin.

2. How do I configure to notify someone when the quantity is low?

Thanks,

Prachi

Hi,

Currently we do not support either of these features, you can however filter the products in the store admin -> list products by "out of stock" or "low stock products".

We can add these items to our road map for a future release, if these are urgent you could look to sponsor them to speed up their development.

Thanks
Nigel.
