Hi,

I would have though that the default arangement for the "List Product" (next release might change it to Products List or Product Listings) would have been by Model# or some such. There doesn't appear to be any way to reindex accordingly.  All I see is products listed in the order entered. Makes it somewhat difficult to methodically verify all entries for errors. Suggestions?

Hi,

You mean you want to set the default ordering for the products in the category? We already have a setting for this, if you go to the cart viper catalogue settings, you will see the below section - you just need to change "sort by" to the item you want the default sort order to be:

No. On the store admin page under catalogue there is a link that you call "List Product(s)". This is what I would call "Product Central" or Products List where you can add, edit or delete from a table view that shows all products that have been entered. It seems odd not to have

1) a # column on the left that assigns a # to the entry

2) the table is not sortable by Model #  or anything else.

I was just surprised that this did not have the basic funcionality of even ancient spreadsheet tables. We have a relatively small # of products in the catalogue so it's not a big issue here. But (unless I've missed something) if you had 50, 100, 200 products, product managment could be quite daunting. Exporting to a standard spread sheet would also be a a great help.

I don't mean to be picking nits here. I hope you don't take offense. Cart Viper seems to be one of the best ecommerce modules  at the given price point. And I gather better than some that are a lot moe expensive.

BTW, as far as the product ordering within the category, yes I have it set to a-z. that is part of why I was surprised that a-z function wasn't also global.

Hi,

No it is good feedback, I guess it is something we never considered to be honest we assumed the store owner would either page through the products or use the predictive search to allow Cart viper to auto suggest the product you want to find in the admin area.

Thanks
Nigel.
