Hi,

1, On product list and product detail, we want to hide “Add to Cart” button and that Quantity text box for certain User Roles. How is that possible? Please describe

2, Also, are there any provision to apply specific tax for each product? Currently we can apply tax based on shipping or billing address. I do not find any provision to apply tax based on product.

Thanks,
Ajmal

Hi Ajmal,

1) We don't support the feature 100% as you describe, but we have a couple of options that are similar:

a) If you go to the Cart Viper catalogue module settings and turn on the setting "Disable Price/Checkout for Anonymous" that would hide the product prices and require them to login to view the price and add to cart.

b) On the product edit page we have the setting "User Role to View/Purchase" , here you can select multiple roles that a customer must have in order to view the product and ultimately purchase. Without at least one of the roles a customer wont see the product and therefore be able to purchase. It is probably the closest option out of the box we have to this requirement.

2) With the product if you're charging tax you can select if the product would be tax free or not, if tax is applicable it would then be charged as per your sites settings. Or if you're charging vat you can select the vat rate (standard, reduceded or none).

Regards
