When I try to update a category (name, description, image...) it doesn't save my changes unless i leave the category seo url unchanged. Whatever new seo url I try, even random strings, it tells me that it "already exists" even if it obviously doesn't.

If I input back the old seo url, all the other changes are saved.
This is a problem because we have some cases where a category containing several products needs to radically change name and the unmatched seo url is confusing.

Tnx,
V

Hi,

Can you ensure you're running the latest version (currently 3.9.2):

https://www.cartviper.com/free-trial

If the issue persists after the upgrade could you mean me an admin username / password along with the store URL so we can view the issue? nigel@cartviper.com

We're running v. 3.7.6, but updating is a bit tricky so I have an additional question:
Do you think that by updating we could also solve the issue in our previous thread?
https://www.cartviper.com/support/support-forum/forumid/7/postid/2654/scope/posts#2654
Regarding this, all the files in the “DesktopModules\CartViper\App_LocalResources” folder have their corresponding it-IT version. I hope that when you say "a large amount of the text will be stored in SharedRedources.resx, have you translated all the items in there", you actually mean SharedResources.it-IT.resx, because SharedRedources.resx needs to stay in English.

If updating doesn't solve the translation issue it's not worth it for us, the category issue is minor in comparison and can be managed internally.

In any case, I'll email you your admin credentials (same subject as this thread).
Thanks,
Valeria

Hi,

Yes I was meaning you would need to create SharedResources.it-IT.resx , logging into your store admin the vast majority appears in Italian apart from the product edit page which remains in English. I assume there is a ProductEdit.ascx.it-IT.resx , could you send it to me?

Upgrading will fix the category SEO issue you mentioned, however the translations will probably remain the same as it should work ok if there is a corresponding language file. So i'd like to confirm the file exists and its not been corrupted.

Regards

Yes there is a ProductEdit.ascx.it-IT.resx, I can't seem to attach files here, I'll send it to you via email
