Hello..
Today looking over our orders, we have one which failed due to:
"Sorry your payment failed due to the following reason: The order already exists in the database.
Please try placing your order again."

They had placed an order prior, but I believe that after they visited the external payment gateway, closed their browser when they saw the security pop-up about transmitting information between secured and non-secured websites.

Both orders have different order numbers.  Did they possibly just hit the back button on the browser and try to re-submit their order and thus, Cart Viper added their order under a new order number?

Hi,

Can you confirm which payment gateway you're using? The message "The order already exists in the database" will be coming from the payment gateway, so would like to see in their documents under what conditions it is outputted.

Are both orders identical and have a status of "paid" , clicking the back button when the browser is being sent to the payment gateway / taking payment is not a good idea as it could cause an issue with the payment being sent twice.
