We recently upgraded our DNN portal to the latest version, 7.3.3. Now when we try to edit an existing product, we get the error string:

&def=ErrorMessage

and are redirected out of the Product List and back to the main Store Admin page.

Hi Melissa

Are you running the latest version of Cart Viper? I would normally suggest to anyone seeing an issue after upgrading DNN to make sure they are running the latest version of Cart Viper.

The DNN Core team can change things which means we need to fix the issue with a new release. If you aren't running the latest version (available here http://www.cartviper.com/free-trial) then try that.

I always say to take a full site and database backup before upgrading. The user manual page 6 contains more information about the upgrade process.

If you are running the latest version or the issue is still there after the upgrade can you post the exception you are seeing the DNN event log.

Regards

Mark

Hi Mark,

Thanks so much for your response. I have downloaded the latest version, which is slightly newer than the one I have. When I look at my extensions, I don't see the upgrade option. Do you have a link to the proper procedure for upgrading CartViper? Thank you!

Hi Melissa

The user manual on page 6 has more information about how to upgrade the site.

Also due to the way we create minor updates it might say you have the module already installed and you just need to tick the box to reinstall the module.

Just install the module as you would any other and follow the steps shown.

Regards

Mark
