Hi, we've been trying to get some software to create a sitemap of a site which has cartviper on it and all the cart pages aren't being found. Looking in the DNN event log, we find these entries for each cart page it attempts to read:

How are you?

I see the issue, we have some code which uses cookies to help track the cart Id, this cookie is encrypted using AES for security. However I would guess that your crawler doesn't support cookies and hence the issue. It should be pretty simple for use to fix so that you can have your sitemap spider create the links required.

What version of Cart Viper are using?

Also this gives us a good idea, we already have this SiteMap module for DNN http://www.bitethebullet.co.uk/Google... so we could use this code within Cart Viper to support the generation of a sitemap directly within Cart Viper.
I'll add this to our roadmap.

Hi Mark, i'm good thanks!

We've just upgraded our sitemap generator and it is working now so i think it must have support for cookies now. We're on v1.2.4 of the cart.

Thinking about this more, the ideal solution for us would be is the cart could have a sitemap provider so that all cart pages could be fed into the DNN sitemap.aspx output, then we could start using this instead of generating our own. Is this feasible?

Yes I found it worked for me as well using the XML Sitemap website, it most have been an issue with their older crawler.

I've taken a look at the sitemap functionality in DNN and it looks like we could create a provider to simply add in our Cart Viper URLs. I'll modify our ticket in TRAC so that we implement this feature.
