Hi.  I wanted to remove some of the elements from the catalog.htm file. I tried to comment out the sections I didn't want showing (like [CATEGORY]. Didn't really work. The closing comment tag shows. I then tried to wrap it in a div with display set to none. That seemed to also hide the Detail element too. I ended up with this... and it works. Is there a better way to do this? I want to hide the Category section, but not the Detail.

Hi Gary

When hiding a token or HTML snippet you need to have before the opening and closing comments. If you try this line for [CATEGORY] token is should work for you.

Actually, adding the closing tag causes it to show at the bottom. Not sure why. But if I leave it open, like in my post, it works. Also, if I comment out category, as you show it, it also removes the detail. BUT, leaving it unclosed causes the Category to be hidden but NOT the Details. Weird, but I am doing to run with it. Thanks.

Ultimately, I ended up hiding it via CSS. That seems to have done the trick.

All: Be sure to back up you CV folder before running any updates. (Same goes for must other Extensions/Modules that allow you change CSS and templates).  I had made many changes and the update file overwrote these (which I think would be expected). I just backed up the new ones that overwrote mine and copied back the ONLY the ones I had changed. The only issue would be if the CV team make template changes. Then might need to compare files and make new changes are needed.
