Running DNN 7.3.4 and CV 3.2.0.

I've noticed three tables with many records and want to know what they are for and how to do some cleanup.

The tables are:

CVStore_User_Product_List_Categories - 148,645 records
CVStore_Cart - 75,229 records
CVStore_UserProductList - 49,363 records

Hi,

1) We keep the user's cart unless they checkout and in which case it gets converted to an order. We do have a scheduler job to purge old carts but if you have a lot like you the job will timeout. The easiest fix is to just run the sp below in SQL Mananager to remove carts older than April 2016.

exec CVStore_Cart_PurgeCarts {ts '2016-04-01 00:00:00'}

2. We record a list of products which a user has browsed which are the other tables you have which are large. If you want you can delete the table contents this would be the sql to execute.

 delete CVStore_UserProductList where productListCategoryId in (
  select productListCategoryId from [CVStore_User_Product_List_Categories] where userProductListType = 5
  )

  delete [CVStore_User_Product_List_Categories] where userProductListType = 5


Those queries might take a while to execute so you need to run them in Sql Manager.

That helped with two of the tables.  But the CVStore_User_Product_List_Categories still has 74854 records.  Looking at the table in SQL Manager I can see that most of the remaining records have userProductListType = 3

Hi,

3 indicates they are lists of products to be quoted for, feel free to amend the sql query and delete if you wish.

The question now is why are the "browsing" tables accumulating so many records?

I don't recall enabling any quoting features and can't find where any product has "Request a Quote" enabled.  The Cart is being run in anonymous mode and al of the type 3 records have UserID as NULL.

Could Bots be doing some of this?
