Hi Team,

Just wondering where RFQ orders are stored in the database? We are using the RFQ version that allows customers to build a cart and then send for quote but are not seeing these recorded in the usual order tables understandably

Thanks!

Hi,

There are 2 ways items can be quoted for in CV:

1) Via the product edit section mark the product as "request a quote" , using this method a customer can assemble a cart of RFQ products only and then when they checkout the admin / user is emailed a copy of the carts contents. Using this method the order is not stored in the database so it cant be viewed in the store admin -> orders.

2) Do not mark the products as "request a quote" and via

store admin -> payments

Ensure offline payments is selected along with "moderate all orders" and "singlepage" checkout. Then a customer will be able to assemble a cart and when they checkout they should be presented with a "request a quote" button.

The admin / customer is notified as normal and the admin will be able to find the order in store admin -> orders , they can add / remove items from the order and once complete select "has been moderated" and save. The customer should be notified and they will be sent a link to pay for their order online.

It would appear your using option 1, if your wanting the rfq order to be persisted I would suggest moving to option 2.

Regards
Nigel.

Great thanks Nigel, I just tested method 2 as you describe but when I go to moderate the order I get kicked out of the moderation screen and the following errors recorded:
