Hi Team,

Happy New Year! Hope you had a well deserved break! 

We have just started using the MSRP field which is a great little feature, however I notice that MSRP only displays if it is greater than the list price - I know this makes perfect business sense, but just wondering in my scenario I want to be able to show it either way. Is it possible to make the MSRP visible regardless of whether it is greater or less than the in store price?

This isn't a major stumbling block, but I just thought it would be worth asking the question.

Hi Charles,

We would need to make a setting so you could override this default behavior as we only output it if it is greater than the unit price. If you are in a rush for this you could write a skin object to output the value:

Hi Nigel,

We started on the path of creating a skin object for this and got a bit stuck, so instead tried to recreate the skinobject you mention here:

Once again we hit a bit of a wall, so 2 questions about this tutorial:

1. You mention " An important setting you need to make is to have the build output directly into the /bin folder of the portal." which bin folder exactly is this? There is no bin folder in /portal/1 for example, does this just mean the top level bin folder e.g \httpdocs\bin where I see other CV .dll's have been placed?

2. Do you need to install the skin object at all once it is built in VS? Or can you just call it via the skin object token you create?

Having tried a few different things related to above, we just get a "Skin Object Not Found" message when we try to call it in the ProductDetails.htm. Any further info on skin objects would be appreciated

Hi,

1) Yes that's correct, all the websites .dll's reside in that folder.

2) Yes the skin object needs to be installed on the dnn site before it can be used.
