Not all users of our sites are going to be "expert".  There needs to be better feedback to the user when they are trying to register a new account and the registration is unsuccessful.  For example, while testing I used dummy data:
all names, usernames, last names, and passwords were "andrea", with an email of "andrea@address.com".  This was not allowed.  The only feedback I got from the site as a user was when I changed my password to "password" - since I had to change them one at a time, I was given the warning that my passwords did not match before I changed the confirmation. 

However, there was never any indication to me that the password was the problem: I just guessed.  I also changed the last name to my last name, updated the username, at which point it accepted the new user. 

Again, the only feedback I got was about the mismatched passwords. 

If I am missing something in the settings to increase the amount of feedback to the user, please let me know.  Otherwise, this is a bug that really should be fixed.

The registration page is part of the core DotNetNuke framework and outside of Cart Vipers control, you could post your request to the DotNetNuke perhaps they will have a solution:
