Currently, the v3 templating engine supports a simple non-null test such as "#if(SHOWTAX)". I find myself wanting to customize the "orderConfirmEmail.htm" email with different text based on the current "[ORDERSTATUS]" (e.g. Paid, Awaiting Payment) but I don't see a way to do this.

Hi Larry

This is a good question!

An issue with the template system we have is that lacks the ability to allow for conditional statements using the simple token system we have. We are aware of this and have made an improvement in release 3.1 of Cart Viper to support Razor scripts within the templates.

You can read more about using Razor templates on the advanced template page and also in the user manual.

One issue that remains is that we only support Razor templates on the templates which are render to a DNN page. So at this point in time we need to do some additional work to allow the email templates to support razor scripts. This is something we have added as a work item for the next release of Cart Viper. Once this is released you should be able to create some really amazing confirmation emails without too much trouble,
