Hi

I'm trialing Cart Viper at the moment and have put a product on with a quantity of 3.  I've messed around with variants and now when I return to the sotck entry field it is greyed out and displays a no entry ikon.  Could someone please tell me how I can add in new stock.

Thanks...

Hi,

There is a slight bug in this section, I assume you have clicked on the "variant product management" section and added in sku and quantities for your variants?
When quantities have been added in for a product at a variant level we do not allow you to set the main product stock level, as we are working it out on a variant level.

If you want to go back to just using the stock level on a product level you need to delete the sku's and quantities for the variants via "product variant inventory" section. This should let you enter the stock quantity for the product, however there is a bug and the only way to clear it is to delete the variants as well.

I will put this on our road map to fix, I hope the above makes sense.
Thanks
Nigel.

When you just use product variants, as is the case for the shop I'm considering Cart Viper for, it allows you to buy as many items as you wish, irrespective of the stock items you place in product variants.  The system does not seem to control stock here.  This is a major problem as the product variants is the key element to the success of the shop.  If this is a bug how long before this is fixed?

Hi

What you need to do is in Store Admin > Store Info is change the Product's Behaviour to use Hide Product (see below) to have the add to cart feature check that the variant has enough stock on hand.

Regards

Mark

Thanks for that Mark

But...

If I now want to display out of stock items (call and we'll order it for you) how do I do that?

Thanks
