Hello!

I was poking around looking for tables with an unusual number of records, and CVStore_Cart has 32000+ records. This is a new site, so CVStore_CartItems only has 17 rows. Is this something that needs to be purged regularly? Are robots creating all these carts?

 Thanks!

Alex

Hi Alex

The latest version of Cart Viper 3.1.0 contains a scheduled task which will remove carts that are older than 30 days for the database.

Mark

Hello Mark,

I totally forgot about this, and now my CVStore_Cart has 200.000 records, and CVStore_User_Product_List_Categories has 374.000 .

I looked in Host Settings/Schedule but don't see the tasks you show. Is there something I need to do to add them? I upgraded to CartViperPA_3.2.0r.zip a few days ago.

Thanks!

Alex

Hi Alex

Yes you need to enable the task, login as the site admin. Then just go to the Store Admin page, Store Info then in the General Settings you need to locate the option call Delete Abandoned Carts.

Mark

Hello Mark,

Well, I did what you said, and then proceeded to forget about it until now. I looked at the schedule and the task is there, and the log shows that it has been running every day, taking about 4-20 seconds, although every once in a while it times out after 30 seconds.

However, my CVStoreCart has 43693 records, and CVStore_User_Product_List_Categories has 437833 records, so it is still not purging...

I am on CartViper 3.2.0r

Is it just a delete query based on date? Or does it have foreign keys and stuff?

Thanks!

Alex
